Improved security, but avoiding extra hardware and power

We're currently running IPSec VPNs (tunnel mode) between our various ADSL lines. We'd also like to run some VPNs to our colocated server in Maidenhead. So for example our current 192.168.1.0/24, 192.168.2.0/24 subnets would be tunnelled for...

have my VOIP number presented to my mobile when a call is forwarded (instead of the original callers number)

This is offered by a number of other VoIP providers and it is extremely useful to see "Ah - this call is for my VoIP line" as opposed to "Ah - this call came directly to my mobile" (or other fowarded number). Just a simple checkbox next to each...

Have call recordings PGP-signed

When AAISP email call recordings, there's an option to encrypt the recording. It'd be great if the recording could be PGP-signed. That way, if needed, it can be shown that a recording has not been tampered with after it's received.

Digitally sign migration code emails

Most of AAISP's emails are digitally signed, but the MAC emails aren't.

Send Quota warning for Home::1 via Twitter as well as email

I would like the option of the quota warning for Home::1 to be sent via Twitter.

See the remaining quota also displayed as a "per day" number

On the page at https://clueless.aa.net.uk/main.cgi it tells me how much data I have remaining for the month. It would be helpful if I could also see this number divided by the number of days remaining in the month. For example, where it might...

Clueless "Add /64" button - an option to choose the number of the subnet

Currently, "Add /64" button appears to give me a result of ($current_allocation -1). i.e. I currently have 2001:8b0:xxxx:a713::/64 - pressing Add /64 gives me 2001:8b0:xxxx:a712::/64. Perhaps add a box to allow the user to specify their own...

Make the blip graph more usable by people with red/green colour blindness

The blip graph at https://control.aa.net.uk/blip.cgi tells me that "Green is login" and "Red is logout". Like ~10% of the male population I'm red/green colour blind. If I stare at the graph closely, I can just about detect that the grass...

Filter / rate limiting on line down / up events in clueless

Something went nutty a while ago and I got something like 50 emails containing down / up notifications back-to-back. Perhaps some filter with configurable parameters and sensible defaults to protect you. Sending hundreds of tweets / SMS / emails...

We do rate limit SMSs, and maybe Texts too, emails may not be rate limited on purpose though. That said, we are building a new notification system which should have more features, some info here: http://www.revk.uk/2017/03/keeping-customer-informed.html

Proof-read documentation before issue.

Have documentation, specifically the FB2900 User Manual, checked by someone with a good grasp of English, not just technical know-how. Poor spelling/typos in documentation creates the impression of poor quality in the device.

Improve the interface on the s-s-l.co.uk pages

The s-s-l.co.uk pages now look very low rent compared to everything else. Logout Home Help A....A Statement-PDF Transaction-List Services WTF? It may make sense to whoever wrote it, but to new customers it looks rubbish. Honestly, when I...

have an email to SMS gateway provided by A&A

A&A should provide an easy email to SMS gateway. Yes I know I could build one with a small script.

Announce planned engineering work clearly

There have been a lot of occasions in the past year where there has been "Planned" engineering work by AAISP that has either been unannounced or not announced obviously (i.e. in the status news section, or tagged on the end of an outage section)....

Set the "enable bitswap" option in the config for DLink DSL-320B-Z1 modems

Surely it's a really really bad thing this not being ticked? Am I wrong? (And might as well set the SRA option too just in case your service does support it.)

Customer adds note in log in clueless

If customers could add a comment record in the clueless log for a particular line, then that could be a reminder of the time a particular action was taken or an explanation which could benefit AA tech support. Example: "modem taken offline -...

allow downloading of email aliases from control.net.aa.uk as a text file

so that the customer can easily keep them under revision control (e.g. git) and thus record: - reasons for changes - date and time of changes - deleted aliases (with reasons) Something similar to the button on the DNS setup page would be...

gigaclear

Please partner with gigaclear to provide fibre to the premises. I would definitely use aa as my provider rather than gigaclear in my other property if you did so.

Have AA web servers, including clueless, support HTTP/2

HTTP/2 gives us better responsiveness. Do your web servers speak HTTP/2?
