Distribute improved firmware for ZyXel VMG 1312-B10A which fixes the lack of support for MTU 1508 in modem-only

Firmware is now available for the ZyXel VMG 1312-B10A which fixes the lack of support for MTU 1508 in modem-only. It just works, fine. A pre-built bin file is available and the complete sources are I'm told on github and I have read the build...

show upstream speeds for ADSL in ordering system

Upstream speed is critical for many users. The AA ordering system shows upstream speeds for VDSL2 but not for ADSL. Could you fix this? I am pretty certain BT makes this available because it is shown in their web dsl checker application....

Additional event logging for VoIP

With syslog enabled for voip, I only seem to have logs for incomming phone calls. It would be useful to have log entries for: * sucessful registrations * failed registrations * outbound phone calls

Use an IPv6 router

I've been looking for an IPv6 DSL router, and it looks like there is a reasonable consumer one. It's called a "FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270" - they have a (beta) IPv6 firmware http://www.avm.de/en/news/artikel/IPv6_Lab.html Is there any chance...

have the option for C&W backhaul on A&A

A&A currently provide the option to use BT or BE lines and there are rumours talktalk may be added to this. I'd like a wider range of options (both for choice and redundancy) and adding C&W to this list would allow a greater choice for customers...

place a monthly cap on my SIP trunk bill, for a number of reasons, but primarily to limit my financial risk in the event of a hack, without having to monitor it carefully.

Allow an account holder to set a hard cap on the monthly bill at which point the service cuts off, for SIP accounts.

register an AAISP PSTN number to a third party SIP server.

It would be useful if there was scope to register to a third party SIP server for each pstn number I rent from AA. Inbound calls could ring the usual list of targets AA allow. I wouldn't need to route out via this but that would be cool too :)...

Make (?) wiki links on clueless open in a new window

Clicking a blue (?) wiki help link in clueless loads it in the same window, potentially losing the authenticated clueless session (eg closing the wiki page when done). Can these links be made to open in a new window (target="_blank") please?

VoIP only ADSL

Would it be possible to sell low costs ADSL lines that are £5 or 10 a month for example that only have say 1GB of usage, and package them as "VoIP only line" ? I don't mean that the line shold be restricted to VoIP communication or to the...

Interesting idea... This would also be good for sites that do low level monitoring of equipment etc. Generally, with using ADSL/FTTC for VoIP, we'd suggest having multiple lines. We'll give it some thought.

lightning warning

Warn customers about approaching lightning storms through KCI mechanisms. This could be done by plugging your servers in to the blitzortunglive / lightningmaps.org network, which has an http-based alert service and can generate apple push messages...

Clueless: DNS editor UI: feature request: import / export

In Clueless’s DNS editor you can download a zone file, but that's only part of the story. You don't see the corresponding PTR records. I would like to be able to import and export the entire state. It would be very nice if it were in some human...

Sort out login persistence in ideas.aa.net.uk

Cookies? Third-party cookie handling? For some reason I can never stay logged in in this website. I keep getting prompted for my name email address all the time, it doesn't remember them. And I keep getting captchas again and again. FYI - there is...

Greater control of L2TP logins

Dealer cap options are great, but would be nice to have a few extra options; cap at 10M, 20M, 50M, 100M respectively. Only reason I suggest this, is because I have come across some awkward devices that will not let you change/set line speeds...

change the workding on https://www.s-s-l.co.uk/orderpage.cgi so that it's more obvious that it's for both broadband and "numbers"

At the moment, if you click "order noe" from telecomms, it takes you to the order page that only mentions broadband. If you then log in you get the option to choose "numbers", but it's not clear from the previous page that that will happen. I...

Host an openid service

Various websites like http://stackoverflow.com use openid for logins, perhaps it would be possible to host an openid service linked to our hosted domains to use them to log onto openid sites?

Hide auto-UP and auto-DOWN clueless logs

Whilst the auto-UP and auto-DOWN line entries are helpful, the logs of unstable lines can quickly fill with these and make it very difficult to find other entries. It would be useful to be able to hide these entries.

see a wiki for people to help build their own IPv6 transition plans based on others' experience

Er, probably self-explanatory. I don't see much out on the web that's very informative, hence a wiki about this migration in the AAISP context would be very useful. I have stuff to share, others will have much better.
